1987 – EVK Company Formation

Two young, Austrian engineers Peter Kerschhaggl and Kurt Völker had the vision to solve seemingly unsolvable technical problems at that time. “Electronic Völker Kerschhaggl” – EVK was founded.

1990 – SBSC

In the early 90s, EVK focused on the new field of sensor-based sorting and control (SBSC) and developed metal sensors, RGB color cameras, and near-infrared based sensor bars for sorting…

Since its foundation in 1987, EVK has been driven by a visionary and pioneering mindset.

Ever since the 90s, Peter Kerschhaggl has specialized in sensor-based sorting and set new standards in industrial sorting with the first imaging and sensor-based material classification technologies. These laid the foundation for EVK as an expert in sensor-based sorting and pioneer in hyperspectral imaging.
